The chorus was founded in October 2011, by Fernando Marina and Llorenç Gelabert, inside the Academy 1830 Association. It is a chamber choir with a group of singers with a solid a deep musical education and choral experience (singers, soloists or conductors) Its repertoire is based on modern choral pieces over the world and premieres of Majorca composers (Baltasar Bibiloni, Pep Alarcon, Jaume Salom, etc).
With Acadèmia 1830 orquestra the chorus has performed the most important oratorio of the choral repertoire: Bach’s cantatas, G minor mass and Johannes Passion, G. Fr Handel’s Israel in Egypt, Mozart’s Requiem or Puccini’s Missa di Glòria.
